I became an Instacart shopper in 2021. I was very active on the app and enjoyed that I could pick up orders around my main job. This often lead to my orders interfering with the already limited time I got to see my boyfriend, One afternoon, my phone had dinged and alerted me that an order was available nearby. My boyfriend suggested I take it because the pay was good, and that he'd tag along with me. It made the experience much more fun and allowed us to spend more time together. We only did this a few times, because I wasn't sure if Instacart would allow it, but it lead to us finding another activity we could do together while earning extra money!
My boyfriend is in tree-work and can do side jobs when he wants. We found someone who wanted a tree and stump removed, as well as some minor landscaping done. I offered to help while he focused on the tree. I added some flowers to their front landscaping and shaped and thinned out the bushes. One thing lead to another and we completed a handful of jobs this past summer. I absolutely love nature and all things flowers so this was such a fun thing we could do together, while earning money!
