After a series of very unfortunate events last year, my husband + I ended up having to share a car for 6 months [+ counting!]
While I don't necessarily wish this extraordinary inconvenience on anyone, it was actually really beneficial to us to navigate a situation we weren't used to together. I feel like our communication + compromise skills increased dramatically!
By now, we've gotten into a flow that allows each of us to do what we need to do without excessively limiting or burdening the other person. We also have more opportunities to carpool - which is great because we usually have really great conversations in the car for some reason.
It'll be really nice to have my own vehicle back, but I think I might miss the car-sharing just a bit. We're pretty proud of ourselves for successfully navigating an unanticipated setback...and learning that the situation wasn't really that bad after all!
