My favorite time of year... fall. The leaves changing color, apple season, football, and Halloween... can it get any better?! Since it is my favorite time of year, my boyfriend and I have had many dates for the season! I've compiled a list that may spark some interest!
Apple picking. I know, I know... seems predictable and maybe sounds basic. Hear me out, yes we love apples, but we always have a picking session specifically to make an apple pie together. It has become a yearly tradition for us and is SO fun. I love to bake and my boyfriend gets a kick out of doing it together. We primarily pick honey crisp apples for baking. I even made vegan apple crumble bars this season. 10/10. Grab your aprons!
Sports bar alone or with friends. I never really watched football until the 2022 season. It excites me now that I understand it. We spent many weekends at a local bar watching all the games that were on. It was really fun because we got to see our friends, but 90% of the time everyone in there was cheering for the same team, It made for many exciting afternoons and even introduced us to new friends, I love football now and the community around it!
Hayride. Yes a hayride, but not just any hayride... a HAUNTED hayride. I love fall because I love spooky season. Haunted hayrides are fun whether you're alone with your significant other or have friends tag along, too. Bundle up for the chilly air and get ready to get your "scare" on.
Thrifting. This is one of my favorite activities that you can do inside on rainy/chilly days. I find myself thrifting most in the fall. My boyfriend and I will go scouring through our local thrift stores to find flannels, crewnecks, and cool sweatshirts. I love looking through the mens section for all of those. So many cool finds!
Make bird feeders. Every year, my boyfriend and I collect pinecones and turn them into bird feeders for our flying friends. We usually coat in natural peanut butter or sun butter and dip them into bird food. From here, we tie a string around them and hang from a tree branch! We've even seen our neighborhood squirrels snack on them too.
These are a great mix of classic and unique ideas! Thank you for sharing!
